Summary

The Material Dock Clerk will be responsible for operational functions, (General Motors LLP Account) independent decision making related to material availability and inventory control. Duties will include managing the flow of scheduled trailers and deliveries and setting up expedites as needed.

Essential Functions

  • • Manage a shipping and receiving dock to ensure on-time delivery performance and support production requirements of the GM Wentzville assembly plant• Record on-time delivery metrics for the customer and for Ryder, making informed and independent decisions on trailer flow, escalating issues when appropriate• Work effectively and efficiently in team environment, developing effective relationships with material handlers, GM leads, Ryder office team, logistics warehouse, shuttle company and carrier base• Oversee the loading and shipping of outbound material

Qualifications

  • H.S. diploma/GED required
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • One (1) year or more administrative experience preferred. preferred
  • Five (5) years or more relevant experience strongly recommended. preferred
