What We Need:

We are looking for an Instructional Designer to join our HNI Workplace Furnishings team.

The Instructional Designer is tasked with content and curriculum design, creating transformative learning content with proficiency in eLearning software. The role emphasizes in-depth writing, editing, and instructional design skills to deliver tailored strategic learning solutions for internal and external customers. The position plays a key role in maintaining project timelines, meeting requests, and enhancing the quality of tools and content for Brand University/Learning and Development.

What You Will Do:
  • Apply research-based learning theory and proven instructional design principles to create engaging course designs.
  • (live, live online, eLearning).
  • Perform in-depth needs analysis to uncover learner, organizational, and on-boarding needs, identify performance gaps and changes in work processes, procedures, and technologies.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with varying levels of the organization from SMEs to the executives to determine the best learning solution per situation.
  • Provide application of multimedia design and development including graphic design, audio/visual, and eLearning software.
  • Engage audiences through live event presentations from train the trainer courses to trainings with our dealer partners.
  • Maintain and upload content to LMS.
  • Participate in activities as appropriate to ensure the success of the organization.

What You Have:
  • Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in Instructional Design, Multi-Media Design, or Design.
  • At least one year of experience in a learning environment required.
  • At least three years of experience in a learning environment preferred.
  • Proficient in Abode Premier Pro and After Effects is preferred.
  • CPLP Certification preferred.
