CNC Programmer - Full-time

Position Overview:

Craft Machine is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our team. The CNC Programmer will be responsible for creating and optimizing CNC programs to manufacture precision metal components and equipment. This role requires expertise in CNC machining processes, programming languages, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities:

• Develop CNC programs using CAD/CAM software to efficiently produce machined parts
• Optimize CNC programs to maximize machining efficiency and minimize cycle times
• Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine machining requirements
• Select appropriate cutting tools, speeds, and feeds for CNC machining operations
• Set up and operate CNC machines to validate and optimize program performance
• Collaborate with engineers and machinists to troubleshoot and resolve machining issues
• Perform quality checks on machined parts to ensure conformance to specifications
• Maintain CNC programming documentation and version control for future reference

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, or related field preferred
• Proven experience as a CNC Programmer or similar role in a manufacturing environment
• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software for CNC programming, such as Mastercam
• Strong knowledge of CNC machining processes, tooling, and machining parameters
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and geometric tolerances
• Familiarity with CNC machine setup, operation, and troubleshooting
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably JobBOSS, for managing production schedules and tracking job orders

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and move heavy objects up to 50 pounds
• Stamina to stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods
• Visual acuity and attention to detail for inspecting machined parts
