As the Associate Product Marketing Manager, you will have the opportunity to thrive in a fast-moving, fluid environment, and be passionate about implementing change, great processes, and procedures in a commercial setting at a fast-growing technology company.


GENERAL OVERVIEW

This position is primarily responsible for gaining a deep understanding of markets and buyers to support the execution of a product’s go-to-market strategy. The Associate Product Marketing Manager must work cross-functionally, collaborating with key stakeholders from other teams across the business (e.g. product management, marketing, sales, customer success, etc.).

The Associate Product Marketing Manager must gain a strong understanding of the product’s buying audiences and their needs and often acts as a subject matter expert (SME) who advises on the market, buyers, and product across marketing and sales functions.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Core duties and responsibilities include the following.

  • Embodies Metrc’s Leadership Principles
  • Collaborate with product management and marketing communications to develop product positioning and messaging that resonate with our target buyer personas.
  • Help develop and socialize the following product-level documents: marketing plan, sales enablement plan, launch plan, solution playbook.
  • Manage launch planning and orchestrate execution of the commercial release of a product.
  • Understand and support our sales channels via sales enablement and training; Develop internal and external tools and teach them how and when to use it.
  • Gather customer references, testimonials, and use cases to support customer marketing and advocacy efforts.
  • Develop cornerstone content (e.g., blog posts, articles, case studies, webinars, etc.), or assist a formalized customer marketing function in doing so.
  • Develop and manage external release communications; Support supplemental training content or other related deliverables.
  • Assess product marketing effectiveness through key performance indicators, and other key metrics, and report back to the business.
  • Market intelligence - understand our buyers, who they are, their needs, and how our solutions can help solve pain points.
  • Support market and customer research to gather data and insight about target personas, buyer needs and the purchasing decision process for the product, including key buyer roles.
  • Understand the competitive landscape and how competitors are positioned; Develop and maintain competitive intelligence enablement.
  • Provide market and buyer insights to drive the development of campaign strategies including demand creation and reputation building.
  • May perform other additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS- KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

  • Professional, clear, and concise written and verbal communication skills, including strong presentation skills.
  • Ability to translate technical information into written customer-facing content and messaging.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Familiar with marketing automation tools and business intelligence tools.

BACKGROUND, EDUCATION, & EXPERIENCE

  • 1-3 years of marketing experience; Product marketing experience preferred.
  • Related market/industry experience preferable.
  • Technical/product experience preferable.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or marketing.
