Job Summary:

TriSMART Solar is seeking an experienced and motivated Solar Crew Lead to oversee and manage our solar roofing installation projects. The Solar Roof Lead will be responsible for leading a team of installers, ensuring the successful completion of projects on time and in compliance with quality and safety standards. This position requires a strong background in solar roofing, exceptional leadership skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality solar roof installations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Management: Lead and coordinate solar roofing installation projects from start to finish, including planning, scheduling, and managing resources effectively to meet project timelines and goals.

  2. Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of solar roofing installers, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure they perform at their best. Foster a positive and safety-conscious work environment.

  3. Quality Assurance: Ensure that all solar roofing installations meet or exceed industry standards and quality expectations. Conduct regular inspections to identify and address any installation issues promptly.

  4. Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and regulations on job sites to protect the well-being of the installation team and ensure adherence to all safety standards.

  5. Material Management: Manage inventory and materials required for each project, ensuring that all necessary components are available and in good condition.

  6. Client Communication: Interact with clients, addressing any questions or concerns they may have during the installation process. Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.

  7. Documentation: Maintain accurate project records, including installation plans, material orders, work progress reports, and as-built drawings. Ensure that all documentation is organized and readily accessible.

  8. Problem Solving: Address any unforeseen issues or challenges that may arise during the installation process promptly and efficiently, finding practical solutions to keep projects on track.

  9. Quality Control: Conduct post-installation quality assessments to verify the functionality and performance of solar roofing systems. Make any necessary adjustments or improvements.

  10. Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, technology advancements, and regulatory changes related to solar roofing. Implement process improvements and innovations as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.

  • Proven experience in solar roofing installation, with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of solar roofing systems, materials, and installation techniques.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in construction and solar installation.

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel to project sites.

  • Wireman or Journeyman license
