Our growing company is seeking a highly motivated and positive individual with great organizational and communication skills to join our team as a Medical Billing Specialist


This position is responsible for the revenue cycle of the practice, including claim submission, payment, and accounts receivable.


This is a career track position, advancing to other opportunities within the organization.

Job Summary:


The medical billing specialist is important: They work with our clients, first, and insurance companies second, to help our patients maximize their health insurance benefits.


General Responsibilities:


Using the practice management system, submits, tracks, and follows through to completion on charges for all services provided.


Manages practice’s revenue cycle and accounts receivable, under supervision from the billing team and COO.


  • Electronically submit/prepare insurance claims
  • Collect and post payments including credit card transactions
  • Track and report assigned metrics
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including participation in ongoing team education and development, and all duties and responsibilities in accordance with company policies and procedures.


Qualifications


Required:


  • Must be a people person with a great attitude and attention to detail
  • Strong telephone, communication and time management skills
  • Education: Associates Degree, or higher
  • Experience: One (1) year of progressively responsible and directly related work experience


Preferred:


  • 2-5 years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of MacOS, G-Suite, and Cisco Phone Console
  • Understanding of health insurance claims and procedures is essential
