Part-time, benefitted position. 20 hours a week
Under the direction of a Radiologist, the Ultrasound Tech performs a variety of general and vascular technical procedures applying Ultrasound for the purpose of detecting pathology. Performs diagnostic procedures utilizing transducer frequencies dependent upon the patient or procedure. Effectively manages and monitors safe equipment use during imaging. Produces diagnostic quality images prior to sending to PACS for interpretation. Requires the ability to work with all groups of patient and physical conditions, to include neonates, infants, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Responsible for delivering high quality service, and to interact appropriately with patients and their representatives, Physicians, and coworkers. Will safely manage the environment of care while providing patient care and services.
Requirements:Completion of formal training and graduate of a school of Ultrasound.
Professional registry with the ARDMS (RDMS) or registry eligible.
