Remote Medical Insurance Follow Up Supervisor

Job Summary:

THE INSURANCE SUPERVISOR WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR SUPPORTING A TEAM OF INSURANCE REPRESENTATIVES.

THE INSURANCE SUPERVISOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR MAINTAINING PRODUCTION STANDARDS AS WELL AS ENSURING DAILY, WEEKLY, AND MONTHLY PERFORMANCE GOALS. THIS IS A FEE PRODUCING POSITION WHEREBY COMMISSIONS IS BASED UPON PERFORMANCE OF ASSIGNED AGENT GOALS, GROUP GOALS, DEPARTMENTAL, AND COMPANY GOALS.

Essential Job Functions:
Responsible for administrative functions of the Insurance department
Produces and reviews standard reports to verify efficiency within assigned area
Coaches, trains, and develops staff
Maintains incentive and contest ideas that result in performance advancement
Motivates the collection staff, in order to help them succeed in hitting their daily goals
Assists in hiring and training new staff Adheres to all company and departmental policy and procedures
Performs monthly quality reviews of assigned staff to ensure compliance with departmental policies and workflow standards
Reviews reports to identify opportunities to reduce errors and obtain reimbursement
Communicates department status and outlines workflow and process improvement opportunities to billing manager
Manages inventory
Responsible for responding to client emails and required client reporting
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:
Demonstrates the ability to coach, motivate, and provide performance feedback to staff in accordance with department heads expectations
Exceptional communication and leadership skills
Advanced written and verbal communication skills

Education and Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent
At least 3-5 years of experience in healthcare insurance collections; supervisory capacity preferred

Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
