Crafting high-quality Burgers & creating a World-Class guest experience Killer Burger is an oasis from the world, a food sanctuary that is dedicated to serving big, juicy, over-the-top hand-built burgers, each one topped with bacon and paired with a side of crispy fries. Only one thing can make these meals even better and that's a local cold craft beer. We don't just love burgers, we commit to the burger, and simply want to create the best burgers imaginable. Somebody's got to do it!

Killer Burger was founded by TJ Southard in 2010, when he opened the first location in Portlands Hollywood District. As of August 2023, there are 22 locations in total. While the Salem restaurant our franchise's first, we plan to open at least 11 more over the next 5-years. With that said, we have numerous opportunities for advancement.

We use only the best ingredients to make our award-winning burgers. Each of the past 4-years, Portland & Vancouver consumers have voted us as the Best Burger in Town. Each burger features 100% beef 1/3-pound smash burgers topped with freshly cooked, crispy bacon. Our menu also features our signature Peanut Butter, Pickle, Bacon Burger. To top things off, add crispy made-to order fries and a cold beverage and youre in Burger heaven.

Job Philosophy
You are one of the attendants to the The Party, the primary burger builder, happy customer maker, and store cleaner. Your first job is learning how to make a perfect Killer Burger, perfect every time. Then your job is to ensure every customer has a great time. In everything you do for Killer Burger you are an ambassador of our brand. You will work to support your direct supervisors, the Leader's, the Training Coordinator and the General Manager.

Training

• Learning the Killer Burger Way for all crew workstations & shifts in the restaurant: Prep, Grill, Front of House, & Register stations; Opening & Closing shifts
• You will be expected to meet or exceed performance standards for each position.

Service & Production

• Make all customers feel they are your #1 priority
• Preparing recipes according to company procedures
• Cooking food on the grill line to order
• Working as a cashier: handling cash, using a Point of Sale System
• Cleaning: floors, surfaces, bathrooms, coolers, employee areas, etc ...

Customer Experience

• We are happy to see them & grateful they chose us!
• Make eye contact & greet them in a clear, gracious way, as they come through the door.
• Make sure they know what we offer, double check to make sure we know what they want.
• Ask if they are happy with what we have given them and thank them when they leave.

Product Knowledge

• Know what we sell, how we make it, the substitutions available & our prices

Work Ethic

• Be on time, leave your troubles at the door, work hard with a smile on your face.
• Show a sense of urgency: never run but move quickly & with purpose.

• Communicate with your crew in a respectful, upbeat, considerate manner.

Work Environment

• Work is conducted at the Killer Burger store.
• Environment has moderate to high noise level.
• Position requires walking, POS work, cooking, cleaning, lifting & phone calls.
• You will be required to lift up to 45 pounds frequently.

Benefits

• WAGES- Hourly wage ranges from $14.50 to $18.50, dependent upon which position you're hired for and restaurant experience. We also guarantee $5 in tips per hour during each bi-weekly pay cycle, taking your hourly wage range up to $19.50 to $23.50!
