JOB DUTIES:

A banquet captain is responsible for overseeing the smooth execution of events, such as weddings, conferences, and parties. They coordinate with the event planner, manage the staff, ensure proper setup, and provide exceptional customer service. They also handle any issues that may arise during the event. It's a dynamic role that requires excellent organization, communication, and leadership skill. you'll be the go-to person for all things event-related. You'll be in charge of coordinating with the event planner to understand their vision and requirements. On the big day, you'll oversee the setup, making sure everything is in its right place. During the event, you'll manage the staff, ensuring they provide top-notch service to guests. If any issues pop up, you'll handle them with grace and find quick solutions. It's a rewarding role that allows you to be the master of ceremonies for memorable events!

Education/ Experience:
  • Strong knowledge of Food & Beverage service procedures.
  • Strong background in hospitality preferred.
  • 2 years related experience preferred.
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Must be able to clearly and effectively communicate in English.
  • Proven ability to perform all positions in banquet operations in order to supervise and assist banquet personnel.
  • Strong PC skills with a working knowledge of including but not limited to MS Excel, MS Word, MS Office, and Outlook.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Schedule Requirements:
  • Schedule may fluctuate based on departmental requirements.
Physical Demands:
  • Physical demands include light work, prolonged walking and/or standing along with the occasional exertion of up to 50lbs of force.
