Shift schedule/hours:

  • Monday - Friday
  • Day shift

Compensation:

  • Wages starting at $20.00

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:

  • Model and support the safe operations and a strong safety cultures in receiving operations
  • Facilitate the check-in process for delivering carriers and assign dock doors for unloading
  • Unload material receipts using a forklift, pallet jack or other assigned equipment
  • Ensure goods are checked into the ERP system in the correct quantities and are properly labeled
  • Review, manage and file all receiving paperwork in accordance with company policies
    1. BOL/COA’s/Packing Lists
    2. Complete railcar Inspection, operate railcar pumping system (Plant 1 and 2)
    3. Bulk Truck hookup and inspections
    4. File all railcar inspection logs
  • Communicate efficiently with internal customers, carriers and vendors relevant to assigned areas
  • Ensure goods are stored properly and handled safely to prevent loss or damage
  • Coordinate the orderly picking and load loading of materials requested by the plants
  • Complete full physical counts, pre-counts, cycle counts and other inventory activities as directed
    1. Review inventory for FIFO and continual rotation of inventory
  • Comply with all AIB and BRC Standards, Safety Standards, and Standard Operating Procedures
    1. Operate box truck and move materials to and from the NGR
    2. Other Duties as assigned


OUR SAFETY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ensure that safety and health concerns are given primary consideration in all activities
  • Follows company guidelines and actively participates in all safety processes
  • Carry out job/area specific housekeeping duties and maintain a high standard of professionalism
  • Look for, report, and correct any near misses/unsafe conditions or behaviors as soon as possible
  • Produce quality materials to be distributed to customers
  • Maintain production volume and efficiency
  • Identify needed changes and make recommendations - find a better way
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues, requesting supervisor assistance when needed

OUR BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma
  • Three years’ experience in the field or related areas
  • Knowledge of receiving and distribution practices and procedures
  • Possess logic, problem solving, and trouble shooting skills
  • Deals effectively with company personnel on all levels ranging from production workers to top management
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen
  • Focus on safety and quality production
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Strong communication skills
  • Positive attitude and a willingness to learn

  • While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to stand most of their 12-hour shift on a cement production floor. The team member frequently is required to use arms to reach and hands to handle or feel. The team member must repetitively lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Must be able to routinely climb stairs and work safely around numerous hot surfaces and rotating equipment.
  • Team members are also required to frequently talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Team members in this role are exposed to seasonal temperature/humidity changes that can be near 100 degrees Fahrenheit.
