Job Description
Snelling is searching for an exceptional Production Paint Assistant for a well-established company in the Trussville, AL area. The starting pay rate for this position is $17.00-20.00/hr plus a 10% shift differential.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities for Production Paint Assistant:
  • Hang parts properly on the paint line
  • Prepare parts for paint by sanding, sandblasting, pressure washing, masking, or wiping down as directed
  • Perform light touchup on parts as directed
  • Perform light assembly work on parts as directed
  • Properly identify and tag completed parts
  • Report completed work in the ERP system
  • Remove painted parts from the paint line and prepare for movement to the warehouse
  • Operates forklifts, hand pallet trucks, hoists, and overhead cranes as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the paint system work area
Skills and Attributes for Production Paint Assistant:
  • Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to adapt to a wide variety of job assignments each day
  • Ability to work while wearing a respirator and protective clothing
  • Must pass pulmonary function test and respirator fit test
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions
  • Must be able to work within the ERP system
Experience Requirements for Production Paint Assistant:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of experience working in a manufacturing, industrial, or construction environment
  • Industrial painting experience is a huge plus!
