POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for washing, drying and storage of hotel and banquet linens.


GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
The following statements are intended as general illustrations of the work in this class and are not all- inclusive:

  • Daily washing and drying of hotel and banquet linens. Ironing and steaming of items may be required as well.
  • Neatly fold laundry and distribute it according to company requirements.
  • Conduct general maintenance and upkeep of the machines. This includes cleaning machine filters.
  • Maintain safe working area by sweeping and mopping floors periodically
  • Coordinate duties with other hotel staff.


WORKING CONDITIONS
Must have ability to:

  • Communicate effectively with all levels of Team Members, guests and outside contacts.
  • Work effectively in a fast paced environment.
  • Move around all work areas effectively and efficiently.
  • Work long hours, including nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Extended time standing.


JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Attendants must be able to lift up to 50 pounds of laundry and push heavy carts without assistance. Ability to reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel and crouch. Able to read and write and understand the English language. Have the ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.

REGULATORY AND COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
In addition to the other duties described herein, each and every Team Member has the following responsibilities related to compliance with laws and regulations:

  • Attend required training sessions offered by the casino.
  • Obtain required licenses.
  • Perform the duties described in compliance with local laws and regulations.
  • Take the necessary steps to ensure minors are not allowed to gamble or loiter in gambling areas, drink alcoholic beverages, or purchase tobacco.
  • Have knowledge of the ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relating to the team member’s department.
  • Adhere to Internal Control Procedures and Policies.
  • Report illegal activity to Security or the appropriate levels of Management
