Dispatcher

Dispatcher duties and other duties. Receives calls for electric, gas and water service from internal and external customers by two-way radio and telephone. Dispatches assignments to field personnel. Receives, generates, updates, assigns, and develop and maintain various reports and spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel and Word. Make calls to customers to schedule appointments for field personnel on-site work. Rotating shifts and standby are required, all schedules are subject to change. Knowledge of modern office practices and procedures. Knowledge of customer service policies and procedures. Skill in effective communication and problem-solving abilities, critical thinking, and attention to detail is a must. Skill in map reading and interpretation. Skill in preparing clear and accurate reports. Skill in establishing cooperative and productive working relationships. Skill in setting priorities for competing projects. Skill in organization. Skill in controlling stressful environments. Skill in performing mathematical calculations. Skill in operating computers and other standard office equipment. Skill in oral and written communication. You will train on 1st shift and will transition into rotating shifts and standby.
