Salary Range: $90-100k/year plus Bonus and Benefits


Job Summary:

Our client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Executive Chef to join the Executive team as they re-open a historic 230-room independent hotel with 20,000 sq. ft of meeting space and 4 outlets. The hotel is currently closed for $60 million renovations and will reopen in Fall of 2024 as a flagship property. Not only does our client want to deliver an inspired menu and artfully plated dishes, but to do so with the highest levels of care and legendary guest service.As Executive Chef, you would manage all culinary staff for the banquets and restaurants, develop menus planning and costing, and maintain food quality standards for all food operations.


Functions:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of all menus and provide training to culinary staff.
  • Recruit, lead, mentor, and inspire the culinary team, fostering a culture of excellence, creativity, and collaboration.
  • Ability to communicate with to all staff.
  • Oversee food preparation ensuring adherence to the highest level of standards.
  • Develop forecasting, recipe development, and menu and event planning for catering, along with the food and beverage outlets.
  • Plan and execute culinary experiences for banquets and events, accommodating the unique needs and preferences of each occasion.
  • Collaborate closely with the other departments, especially F&B to design and execute innovative dining concepts and experiences.
  • Make necessary adjustments to control food and labor cost.


Qualifications:

  • 3+ years as an Executive Chef or similar leadership role in upscale/luxury Hotel or dining establishments.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent education in culinary arts is preferred.
  • Leadership skills, with the ability to inspire, coach, and develop a diverse team.
