Buckeystown Veterinary Hospital is searching for a Veterinary Assistant to join our growing, tight knit group of like-minded veterinary professionals. As our clinic continues to grow, we are excited to open our doors to candidates interested in a positive and inclusive work environment.
Veterinary Assistants participate in every area of animal care within the practice. Not only do we operate as a mixed animal hospital, we also provide boarding and grooming services as well. You can expect to support each department in different ways throughout the week.
Veterinary Technician Assistants are the backbone of the hospital and serve as an integral piece of ensuring we are able to provide top notch animal care and customer service!

Requirements

• Animal restraint
• Housekeeping / janitorial
• Understanding of veterinary pharmacology
• Processing reference lab samples
• Client communication and education (excellent written and verbal skills)
• Knowledge of medical terminology and the ability to decipher medical records
• Ability to lift 50lbs
• Ability to constantly be standing / kneeling / crouching / bending over
