Electrical Engineer IV

RFA Engineering (www.rfamec.com) is an engineering service provider dedicated to delivering our clients with timely engineering support and expertise. We are seeking a growth-oriented candidate to become an integral part of our engineering team. The selected candidate will work with an experienced engineering staff using state-of-the-art engineering tools & processes. This position will operate onsite at our customer's world-class engineering and manufacturing facility in Mossville, IL.

Electrical Engineer IV

This position will be working to develop electronic components for our customer's Electrification & Energy Solutions Division.

Job Description

• Work with machine systems application teams to establish requirements, architecture, and electrical requirements for power electronics components / systems.
• Evaluate potential solutions and develop final component selections
• Support NTI & NPI programs: communication with NTI/NPI leads; prepare and present design and gateway reviews.
• Collaboration with our client’s China team for electrical design, verification & validation plans, functional evaluation.
• Play an active role in supplier evaluation, selection, and development– some limited travel will be required.
• Execute and support electrical commissioning and testing on purchased components.
• Support APQP activities on purchased components in collaboration with suppliers.
• Document and resolve field issues.
• Procurement, inventory management, and shipment of components.
• Identify and work with other Subject Matter Experts on aspects of the design in which team does not have expertise to complete on their own.
• The majority of the time will be spent in the office with some lab & site visits required.

Requirements

• B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering or technology related degree.
• Experience with electric drive systems and/or components
• Excellent analytical skills; experience with circuit and system simulation and analysis tools
• Experience with quality tools including FMEA, APQP & PPAP
• Experience with New Product Introduction (NPI) Issue resolution process
• 6+ years experience development experience.

Preferred Skills

• Creo (alternative CAD software is acceptable)
• TeamCenter experience
• Electrical Schematic exposure
