Park Custodian - Seasonal

We are seeking self-motivated individuals to join our team as Park Maintenance Workers. The role involves assisting in the upkeep of parks, restrooms, and open spaces at the US Army Corps of Engineers facility located at Benbrook Lake in Fort Worth, Texas. (Seasonal Temporary Work from April 1, 2024, through September 30, 2024)

Essential Duties:

• General cleaning of parks, including litter pick-up and garbage disposal
• Custodial care of park buildings and restrooms
• Ensuring a clean and safe environment
• Proper usage and maintenance of hand tools and small power equipment
• Addressing vandalism and safety hazards
• Performing other routine maintenance tasks as assigned

Working Conditions: This position involves various physical activities such as sitting, standing, walking on different surfaces, bending, lifting, and carrying objects up to 100 pounds. It also requires exposure to various environmental conditions, including extreme heat, cold, inclement weather, and potential hazards. Candidates must be comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.

• Availability to work from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, five days a week (including weekends)
• Minimum 1-2 years of custodial cleaning or landscaping experience
• Minimum age requirement: 18 years
• Knowledge of cleaning products and their applications
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to follow instructions, prioritize tasks, and work independently
• Possession of a valid Texas Class C driver's license with a safe driving record
• Candidates must pass a federal background check and E-Verify screening

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
