Job Description
We’re looking for an enthusiastic Food Prep Worker who can deliver outstanding results in the kitchen prepping meals for our chef/cook. Your main responsibilities will be to stock, prepare and measure condiments and slice and dice foods. You’ll keep your workstation and equipment clean and follow all required safety protocols. Good organization skills, the ability to take directions well, and to read recipe instructions and labels in English, as well as handle a variety of kitchen equipment, sharp knives, and measuring tools are required. Some experience and an associate's degree are preferred but not required. If you are a positive self-starter who can work with minimal supervision, we want to meet you! Compensation:$18 hourly
Responsibilities:- Prepare recipes using the proper measurements needed for condiments and wash dice, and slice fruits and vegetables, and meats, for the variety of meals we prepare for customers
- Understand recipe instructions, measurements, meal charts, and labels written in English and use all measuring tools properly
- Maintain a clean, organized prep area and workstation at all times, and sanitize equipment after each shift or when we close
- Abide by food safety guidelines and implement COVID-19 safety measures in all food prep areas and stations where food is prepared and kitchen equipment is used
- Ability to stand on your feet for extended periods of time, as well as lift 35 to 50 pounds, pull heavier items, and bend frequently
- Ability to work weekends, nights, and holidays and be willing to pitch in working extra hours at the supervisor’s request
- Read and comprehend recipes, labels, and meal charts written in English
- Must be comfortable handling sharp knives and other kitchen tools when prepping food
