Job Description
The HR & People Operations Coordinator will support various HR functions within the plant, including recruitment, onboarding, Team Member relations, training, culture activities, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for supporting Team Member success in a manufacturing environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Assist with the recruitment process by posting job openings, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting background/reference checks.
2. Coordinate new hire onboarding activities, including orientation sessions, completion of paperwork and setup of Team Member records.
3. Work with Leads and Team Members to uphold company culture and The VAP Way.
4. Serve as a point of contact for Team Member inquiries and concerns, providing guidance and assistance as needed.
5. Assist in resolving Team Member relations issues and conflicts, maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
6. Coordinate with leads on training programs and initiatives to support Team Member development and skills enhancement.
7. Track training completion and maintain training records for compliance purposes.
8. Assist Team Members with benefits enrollment, changes, and inquiries, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
9. Serve as a liaison between Team Members and benefits providers to resolve issues and answer questions.
10. Maintain accurate Team Member records and databases, including personnel files, time and attendance records, and HRIS updates.
11. Prepare and distribute HR-related documents, such as offer letters, employment contracts, and performance evaluations.
12. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
13. Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and initiatives to promote a positive work environment.
14. Support safety initiatives and wellness programs to promote Team Members' health and well-being.
15. Assist in the coordination of safety training sessions and activities.
16. Coordinate Team Member recognition programs, activities, events, and charity drives to foster a culture of appreciation and engagement.
17. Collaborate with leadership to implement initiatives aimed at improving Team Member morale and satisfaction.
18. Order office supplies, PPE, and culture items for the plant.

20. Own all assigned objectives and key performance indicators within the agreed-upon success score.
Requirements:1. Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field preferred.
2. 2+ years of experience in human resources, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
3. Knowledge of HR principles, practices, and regulations.
4. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
5. Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS software.
7. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
8. Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
9. Team player with a positive attitude and customer service mindset.
