Overview Port St. Lucie CTC is seeking an APP to join our team for a Part-Time for 30 hours per week. Preferably Mondays through Thursday. Port St. Lucie CTC is an outpatient Opioid Treatment Center that offers medication assisted treatment for all genders over the 18 years old. The APP will work with the Medical Director assist with leadership, quality assurance, oversight and overall medical management of the clinic within the boundaries of state and federal regulations and accreditation standards. Responsibilities include planning, organizing medical and clinical practices; providing direct patient care and assisting other departments with direct interactions with physicians or medical staff: * Current FL license to practice medicine * Board certification or certificate of admissibility for board certification * Current DEA credentials to prescribe controlled substances without restrictions * Additional specific DEA credentials may be required * Prefer previous experience in behavioral health or substance abuse treatment * No history of alcohol or drug misuse for a period of three years before employment Contact Our Physician Talent Team Today to apply and learn more! Andrew Diffenbaugh andy.diffenbaugh@acadiahealthcare.com Physician Talent Acquisition Responsibilities Summary: * Provides initial and annual history and physical evaluation, assesses eligibility for treatment, evaluates patients' history of dependence on opioids; * Orders appropriate laboratory studies, reviews laboratory results and provides necessary education, referral and / or follow up services to patients; * Monitors the treatment plans of high risk patients. * Prescribes medication for the treatment of substance abuse according to patient need as allowed by state regulation; * Consults and collaborates with Medical Director to plan and implement care according to Nurse Practitioner Guidelines; * Reports and documents significant patient issues and adverse events; * Communicates pertinent information to appropriate members of the health care team; * Collaborates with Nurse Supervisor to optimize quality and efficiency; * Ensures that the program and employees' transactions and activities are in full compliance with all laws and clinic legal compliance program policies and standards of conduct; and, * Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Qualifications: * Board Certified Nurse Practitioner. * Minimum of 1 year of experience as a practicing nurse practitioner preferred. * Previous experience in behavioral health or substance abuse treatment preferred. * No history of alcohol or drug misuse for a period of three years before employment. Licenses/Certification: * Board Certified Nurse Practitioner. * Licensed to practice in the state in which the clinic operates. * DEA license.
