Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to join our dynamic team. The Procurement Specialist will play a crucial role in supporting strategic sourcing and supplier relationship management processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for driving value through effective procurement strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing and implementing strategic sourcing initiatives to optimize procurement processes and drive cost savings.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers, evaluate their capabilities, and assess market trends.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and requirements.
- Prepare and execute requests for proposals (RFPs), requests for quotations (RFQs), and requests for information (RFIs) to solicit competitive bids from suppliers.
- Evaluate supplier proposals, negotiate contracts, and finalize agreements to ensure favorable terms and conditions.
- Monitor supplier performance, address issues or concerns, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, contracts, and supplier relationships.
- Stay informed about industry best practices, emerging trends, and regulatory requirements related to procurement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain management.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and experience with procurement software or systems is preferred.
- Knowledge of procurement best practices, contract management, and supplier relationship management.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
