Job Description

Minimum 1+ years special education experience required.

ProCare has a full-time position that is for the nextschoolyear, and it provides services to a K-5th grade caseload. The district is supportive of its staff and has a welcoming, inclusive team. If you are or anybody you know is interested in this position please do not hesitate to reach out to me!

Job Details:

Onsite near the Oxford, New York area
Start in August
# students/sites and caseload information will be discussed more in depth with special services' director during interview

Requirements:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education (or related field)
Valid state(NY)teaching certification/license in Special Education.
Prior experience working with students with special needs in inner city is preferred
Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs
Provide specialized instruction and support to help students achieve academic and social goals
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create a nurturing learning environment
Adapt teaching methods and materials to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities
Assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly
