Marketing Internship - High School Student

The City of El Dorado is looking for a high school student who has an interest in marketing, journalism and/or photography.

Qualifications:

• Entering Junior or Senior year of high school, at least 16 years old as of 05/01/2024.
• Maintain regular attendance and be punctual
• Available for a minimum of 5 weeks, possibility to extend.
• Complete on-the-job training and any required reading in a timely manner
• Possess basic computer skills necessary to perform job function

Responsibilities:

• Assist with preparations for upcoming events: packets, inventory promo items, inventory activity materials, fill visitor's bags, place signs and fill distribution racks at Visitor locations.
• Assist in planning meetings for GoldFest activities
• Attend Farmer's Market with staff, help with the information booth
• Analyze marketing plans for large events from other similar regions
• Content creation, including but not limited to, digital ads, videos, print media and signs.
• Write articles for upcoming newsletters
• Take stock photographs for use in marketing and municipal information on the website, tourism listings and social media.
