Caregiver

Job Summary:
The Caregiver at Village Caregiving - Point Pleasant is responsible for providing compassionate and personalized care to patients in their homes in the Buffalo, West Virginia area. This is a Part-Time, hourly Healthcare/Medical job that allows for flexibility in scheduling. As an individual contributor, this role requires a high level of autonomy and self-motivation.

Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care and assistance to patients including bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Assist with mobility and transfer as needed
- Monitor patient's health and report any changes to the designated healthcare professional
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients
- Assist with light housekeeping and meal preparation
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided
- Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Previous experience as a caregiver preferred
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Empathy and compassion for patients and their families
- Ability to work independently and follow a care plan
- Willingness to undergo a background check
