Job Summary

Baristas are skilled in making various coffee beverages and often specialize in espresso-based drinks. To be a Federal barista, you must be a natural people person, passionate about our products, listen intently to our guests desires and go above and beyond their expectations.

Responsibilities
Greeting guest in a friendly manner and taking food and drink orders
Brewing coffee, pulling espresso shots, and preparing other beverages following specific recipes
Preparing and serving food items such as soups, sandwiches and pastries
Answering guest questions about menu choices
Promoting and recommending menu options to guest
Taking payment from guest
Tracking and ordering inventory for cafe and beverage supplies, such as coffee beans, milk, napkins and cups
Ensuring that coffee beans, milk, and other supplies are well-stocked and organized
Maintaining espresso machines, grinders, coffee machines and other equipment by cleaning, troubleshooting and scheduling repairs
Keeping the work environment and cafe seating area clean, sanitary and organized

Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years prior quality experience as a barista
Thrives on being hospitable
Comfortable interacting with a variety of people
Positive attitude, able to work well under pressure and has a sense of urgency
Excellent listening and communication skills
Strong teamwork abilities to work efficiently in a fast-pace and high-volume environment with other Baristas

Compensation Range: $2.13/ hour plus tips
