In-home Caregiver

JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for an In-Home Caregiver at Village Caregiving in Hartford, Kentucky, to provide compassionate and quality in-home care to our patients. As an In-Home Caregiver, you will be tasked with providing personal care and assistance to elderly clients within the Bowling Green area, while adhering to Village Caregiving’s standards of care. This is a part-time, hourly position.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

This position offers an hourly wage commensurate with experience. Benefits may include paid time off and health coverage, depending on hours worked.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide basic patient care as per Village Caregiving’s protocols, including bathing, dressing, hygiene, excerise and meal preparation

• Assist with mobility including walking, transferring, positioning and turning
• Monitor changes in condition and respond to health needs as they arise
• Administer medication, as prescribed
• Respond to emergency calls
• Support family and friends of clients
• Perform additional duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

• High School diploma or GED equivalent and CPR Certification or equivalent
• Minimum of one year of experience providing direct care to elderly individuals in an in-home setting
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
• Reliable mode of transportation to provide care
• Flexible availability and the ability to work some weekends and evenings
