Job Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and organized individual to fill the dual role of Automotive Service Scheduler and Alternate Transportation Coordinator. In this position, you will play a crucial role in managing the scheduling of automotive service appointments and coordinating the alternate transportation program to ensure a smooth and efficient experience for our customers. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational and communication skills, customer-focused mindset, and the ability to multitask effectively.
Responsibilities:
Service Appointment Scheduling:
- Manage the scheduling of automotive service appointments, optimizing the utilization of service bays and technicians.
- Coordinate with service advisors, technicians, and customers to ensure timely and efficient service delivery.
Customer Communication:
- Communicate with customers to schedule service appointments, provide information about recommended services, and address any inquiries or concerns.
- Keep customers informed about the status of their service appointments and any delays.
Alternate Transportation Program:
- Administer and manage the alternate transportation program, including coordinating loaner vehicles or shuttle services for customers during service appointments.
- Ensure the availability, cleanliness, and maintenance of loaner vehicles.
Documentation and Record-Keeping:
- Maintain accurate records of service appointments, customer preferences, and alternate transportation transactions.
- Generate reports on service scheduling efficiency and alternate transportation program usage.
Quality Assurance:
- Monitor the quality and timeliness of automotive services, seeking feedback from customers to enhance the overall service experience.
- Conduct regular inspections of loaner vehicles to ensure they meet safety and cleanliness standards.
Problem Resolution:
- Address and resolve scheduling conflicts, service delays, and any issues related to the alternate transportation program promptly and professionally.
- Collaborate with the service team to find solutions to customer concerns.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in customer service is a plus.
- Previous experience in service scheduling or automotive customer service.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with automotive service processes and scheduling software is advantageous.
