National Salvage & Service is seeking our next Logistics Coordinator, based out of our office in Bloomington, Indiana.

National Salvage & Service is a sustainable company, we recycle nearly all the material we salvage. This practice not only keeps these materials out of landfills, improving the environment; it also saves our customers significant amounts of money, reducing the cost of a job and adding to profit.

National is a leading wholesale provider of used railroad ties and new railroad ties and other treated hardwood railroad track products, as well as recycled utility poles.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Providing clear and consistent communication to co-workers, field project managers, and customers.
  • Communicate any transit issues to respective parties and provide solutions.
  • Delivers exceptional customer service by managing the day-to-day logistical moves of Railroad Cars to maximize efficiency and profits.
  • Collecting, recording, and analyzing of data being input from field personnel daily.
  • Proficient use of Excel and be able to modify and input data into several spreadsheets as well as weekly reports.
  • Interpret data and make recommendations based on current goals
  • Process data into reports that feed directly into invoicing and production schedules
  • Track and adhere to an established record retention schedule

Qualifications:

  • Proficient use of Excel, Office 365, and Outlook
  • Detail oriented, strive for accuracy
  • Work at a steady even pace to promote accuracy and quality of work
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks without losing accuracy
  • Organize and prioritize tasks based on need and urgency
  • Position-Specific Competencies: Ability to Multi-Task, Comfortable working Independently, Great Attention to Detail, Superb Written and Verbal Communication Skills, Ability to efficiently solve problems, Organizational Skills, Comfortable working in Fast-Paced Environment, Able to sit for long periods of time with probable repetitive motion / stand / walk.
