Job Description
Occupational Health Assistant
Role and Responsibilities 
This position is responsible for processing results of Occupational Health services; including urine and hair drug tests, breath alcohol tests, and various types of occupational health services.
  • Process results of drug tests received from the lab or Medical Review Officer (MRO).
  • Register donors for drug test sample collection.
  • Follow up on pending drug tests and close those not received after registration expires.
  • Contact appropriate resources such as labs, MROs, and vendors when necessary to complete accurate results.
  • Follow all federal and state rules and regulations, as well client guidelines.
  • Maintain turnaround goals, including monitoring late lists with vendors.
  • Other duties as assigned.  
Qualifications and Education Requirements 
An associate degree or 2 years of similar work experience requested. Experience in the background screening process or occupational health sector preferred. Experience in customer service preferred.

  • Ability to follow instructions in a fast-paced environment 
  • Ability to multi-task and have strong time management skills
  • Ability to function independently 
  • Ability to document information accurately and completely
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Capable of maintaining confidentiality in all relationships – company, client, candidate
  • Ability to effectively maintain a partnership with all internal teams 
Work Environment and Physical Demands This position requires the employee to work in-office, at a desk for extended periods of time. The employee is regularly required to communicate in person and on the telephone. The employee is frequently required to use hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment. This position infrequently lifts, carries, or otherwise moves objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
