Machine Operator - Plastic Injection

OVERALL ROLE:

The machine operator position is responsible for the operation of the Plastic Injection Molding Machines.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITES:

• Inspect products for conformance to specified standards and communicate with Quality Control concerning nonconforming product
• Package product per established methods
• Know the quality requirements of each job assigned
• Understand the basic workings and safety features of equipment and machinery being used
• Maintain cleanliness in work area
• Perform housekeeping duties as assigned
• Assist in the training of other personnel as needed
• Perform other duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Reading, writing, and speaking English
• Basic computer skills
• Good manual dexterity
• Good eyesight (corrective lenses are acceptable)
• Able to follow instructions, written and verbal
• Basic knowledge of hand tools and their uses
• Minimum of 1 year in a manufacturing environment
• Capable of training others as needed
• Physical mobility including sitting, bending, twisting, standing, and lifting
• Able to regularly lift and/or move 55 lbs.
