Professional Engineer

Mullins Mechanical is a leader in industrial and large commercial mechanical, plumbing, HVAC construction projects. Our projects are often in the industrial and manufacturing environments, such as manufacturing facilities, automotive plants, chemical plants, distribution centers, warehouses, and other large commercial facilities.  We are a self-performing specialty contractor specializing in design-build applications, HVAC systems, plumbing, process piping systems, boiler and chiller systems, equipment installation and rigging, plant relocation and maintenance, and metal fabrication. 

 We are looking for an experienced Professional Engineer to join our team.

 Responsibilities:

As the Professional Engineer you will lead the Engineering Department in handling the extensive planning that is required in the design of the HVAC systems that Mullins Mechanical installs within the overall building plans associated with the project.    

Specific Responsibilities:

• Forward thinking, creative mind who will find creative ways to maximize space and efficiency.
• Will first build, then lead the engineering department in a company that is vastly growing.
• At the onset, will successfully work with outside engineering sources until growth allows for 100% internal engineering success.
• Collaborate with project estimation and preconstruction teams directly to achieve premium success in the design process. 
• Exhibit time-management skills to ensure budget restraints and deadlines are met.
• Use technical knowledge to prepare engineering plans, and lead problem solving efforts to address equipment and system failures associated with project install.
• Proficiency in design software, such as AutoCAD. 
• Experience with process design, a plus

Qualifications:

• Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering Degree
• Possesses Professional Engineering (PE) license
• 4+ years of professional engineering experience as a PE in a large commercial/industrial environment, such as manufacturing, energy, and food/beverage projects
• Possesses extensive knowledge of load calculations, construction techniques, and building codes
• Capacity to distribute and control the tasks for a team

Work Location:  Mullins Mechanical office located in Carrollton, GA.
