Job Purpose:
Support the development of test procedures, assist with the set-up of testing equipment and tools, and execute testing of brake control hardware and software products utilizing simulated environments and support analysis or results.
Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned as needed):
- Work with more senior test engineers to develop and implement efficient test procedures and methods to validate software (SW) and hardware (HW) requirements.
- Support the automation of testing procedures aimed to validate SW modules.
- Execute SW validation plans which might include integration tests, Functional Safety test and production release tests.
- Execute SW validation and verification plans in cooperation with internal and external development and design teams.
- Perform validation of development or production SW with the use of HIL (Hardware in the Loop), SIL (Software in the Loop) and vehicle environments.
- Compile, organize and discuss test results with the SW design team.
- Support the HW and SW design team to debug issues.
- Execute testing following pre-defined test procedures.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in Electrical or Computer Science Engineering or related field.
- 1+ years of automotive product engineering experience working in SW testing or product development with OEM and with preferred focus on brake control components like Electrical Parking Brake, Motor on Caliper, Electronic Stability Control.
- At least 3 years in S/W test or related position with use of simulation tools.
Technical Competencies:
- Knowledge of automotive network such as CAN and FlexRay.
- Experience with testing tools such as Vector CANoe (CAPL), CANape, CANalyzer.
- Knowledge of MATLAB, Simulink, Python, C.
- Experience with agile development tools.
Non-Technical Competencies:
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Good organizational skills, ability to multi-task, work well under tight timing and show great interpersonal skills for technical discussions with internal and external customers.
