We are currently seeking a Mid-Level Storm Water Engineer for our Virginia Beach office.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities will be in assisting senior leadership in the Virginia Beach office with administering stormwater, MS4 permitting, and other similar Hampton Roads-area projects. The candidate would also assist with providing direction to junior engineers, CAD, and other support staff in delivering high quality engineering projects. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required to assist with project planning, client management, and other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Applicants must possess the following:

  • Must have a BSCE degree
  • Must be a registered PE in the Commonwealth of Virginia
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
  • Ability to plan and execute MS4 compliance related activities including: developing Program Plans, SWPPPS, Nutrient Management Plans, Chesapeake Bay and other TMDL Action Plans; collecting and interpreting multi-media environmental monitoring data; providing watershed management planning and conceptual BMP evaluations; design of stormwater and drainage improvement projects including selection of appropriate hydrologic and hydraulic models, coordination with surveyors and other subconsultants, and developing bid documents for stormwater BMPs
  • Must have familiarity with VDEQ Stormwater BMP Clearinghouse specifications
  • Must have familiarity with nutrient and sediment reduction calculations using VRRM spreadsheets and other methods
  • Living shoreline project evaluation and design is a plus
  • Assist with overall project management and coordination with clients on developing task assignments, proposals, and fee development
