We are a small, very busy, aircraft maintenance repair shop in the beautiful foothills of the California Sierra Nevada Mountains. We are 2.5 hours from Yosemite and 3 hours from San Francisco. Hiking, skiing, fishing and boating are only a short drive away.  We have a very loyal customer base and work on a variety of general aviation planes.  We are family owned and operated and pride ourselves on having a family friendly work environment. 

We are looking for a full time A&P mechanic to perform all areas of aircraft repairs and alterations to General Aviation aircraft.  Ideal employee is someone who has integrity, is self-motivated, safety conscience, enthusiastic and pays attention to detail.  A successful employee is able to work independently as well as part of a team.

Minimum of 5 years' experience and an attention to details is a must.

Job responsibilities:

     1.  Performs assembly, disassembly, service and repairs required in the completion of aircraft annuals/100hr inspections, general aircraft service, equipment changes and modifications, trouble shooting and diagnosing aircraft and engine components... including but not limited to removal, replacement and repair of airframes, engines, propellers and related systems. 

      2.  Required to tow and ground run aircraft during the performance of maintenance duties.  Airccraft operational experience preferred. Physically able to manually move aircraft and lift aircraft support equipment (75-100lbs).

Qualifications:

     1. Be able to read, speak and understand the English language for the interpretation of maintenance manuals and installation instructions.

     2. Has FAA A&P certificates, IA strongly preferred but not required.

     3. Minimum of 5 years' experience in General Aviation light aircraft. (We do not work on helicopters).

     4. Can pass an initial and random drug/alcohol screening program.

     5. Must possess own tools needed to perform routine maintenance and repairs.

Types of planes service include but is not limited to... single and twin engine, Cessna, Beechcraft, Piper, Grumman, experimental, float planes, etc.

Additional information:  We work 10 hour days, 4 days a week.  We are closed on Friday/Saturday/Sunday.
