About this job

The Quality Control Clerk is responsible for the preparation and printing of 8130 Tags, record keeping functions, maintenance, posting of QA metrics, nonconformance investigations, and various inspection activities.
• Input of data into M3 to create and print BOL's for end items and parts/components to be shipped.
• Verification and input of data into M3 or word template to create and print an 8130 tag, for all end items and parts/components requiring an 8130 tag and forward printed form to DMIR's for verification and signature (must comply with FAA requirements).
• Prepare and distribute various Quality Metrics and post in the QA Lab, such as DMIR performance, claims (non-conformances).
• Performs administrative duties including scanning, filing and data entry.
• Participates in improvement teams and recommends corrective actions & Quality improvements.
• Performs investigations for customer claims as needed, followed by providing corrected documentation when needed (corrected 8130-3 tag, corrected CT176 tag).
• Quality Administrator Assistant's back-up when needed.
• Performs Quality inspections as directed.
• Performs equipment calibration as directed.
• Supports customer requests for quality documents (e.g: gas data packages).
• Prepares CT-176 tags and updates.
• Prepares, reviews various Quality documentation, as required.
• Perform other duties, as assigned.

• Most work is conducted from a sitting position, however, both standing and walking are required as well as ability to talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

• Work sometimes involves working near moving or mechanical equipment. The employee is regularly exposed to fumes and airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Language Skills:
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, general business correspondence, technical procedures, procedure manuals and government regulations.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Technical Mathematical skills:
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
• Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Technical Reasoning Ability:
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Knowledge/Skills:
• Ability to work with specific computer software including Word, Excel, and Power Point, M3
• Familiarity with industry terminology.
• Familiarity with government/industry standards on quality and airworthiness documents
