Our work depends on Network Engineer - Manager on Duty joining our team to support our Joint Service Provider Enterprise Transport Management - Next-Gen (JSP ETM - NG) program at the Pentagon in Arlington, VA.The schedule for this position is for Mid ShiftDue to the nature of work this role entails, telecommuting is not allowed and will require the employee to report full-time onsite.How the Network Engineer-Manager on Duty will make an impact:The Network Engineer Manager (MOD) is responsible for ensuring the transport segment of the network is being monitored, maintained, and is operating as designed during their shift. The MOD also manages personnel and the daily activities assigned to the Service Restoral Team.Monitoring and assigning Remedy tickets and ensuring tickets are being resolved within the established Service Level Agreement (SLA).Create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Shift Reports.Handle all escalations.Provide Tier 3 support to the Network Operations Center (NOC).Support local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN).Schedules authorized outages to implement proposed solutions.Analyzes and monitor network topologies.Provide technical support and troubleshooting of routers and switches.May work odd hours to support facility maintenance actions to minimize customer impact.
