Our location in Santa Clara, CA, currently has an opportunity for a Sr. Product Manager.   The Global Marketing Sr/ Product Manager is commercially focused representing both business and customer needs globally to set direction for and execution of marketing strategies.  Manage the lifecycle of and drive marketing strategies for Abbott’s intravascular imaging portfolio comprising of disposables, software and hardware. 

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Implement a marketing and sales strategy for one or more of the organization's more complex, controversial, or strategically significant products/services in order to meet established sales or market share targets.
 
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
•    Conduct market research, oversee product development and design, set prices, launch new products, oversee advertising campaigns, and monitor sales performance to effectively market assigned products/services.
•    Monitor, analyze, and evaluate domestic and international market trends, consumer behavior and competitor activity to identify market opportunities for the product/service.
•    Monitor, analyze, and evaluate product performance and customer feedback to generate new product ideas.
•    Identify product/service changes to meet customer needs.
•    Liaise with other areas of the organization (e.g., production, R&D) to implement these changes.
•    Prepare sales forecasts and budgets.
•    Monitor sales volume, revenues and costs against forecasts.
•    Adapt plans to improve the sales performance of the product/service.
•    Liaise with advertising and promotions specialists to design sales campaigns and sales collateral for the product/service that are effective and appropriate for the target audience.
 
 EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING

Required

  • Bachelors Degree with at least 4 years related experience in marketing or product management, or combination of MBA with at least1-3 years related experience.  
  • Strong presentation & communication skills, strategic planning, critical thinking and analysis of market conditions.
  • Willingness to travel within U.S. and internationally

Preferred

  • Product management experience in medical products or services preferred
  • MBA Strongly preferred

The base pay for this position is $125,700.00 – $251,500.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
