Robert Half is seeking an experienced Interim Controller for our client in Gardnerville! The Interim Controller will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities within the organization, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. This role is crucial in maintaining the financial health of our healthcare center during this transitional period.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Management: Manage all aspects of financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and analysis.
  2. Payroll Management: Oversee payroll processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with relevant regulations. Handle payroll reconciliations and resolve any payroll-related issues.
  3. Accounting Functions: Supervise general accounting activities, such as payroll, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance. Ensure proper recording of transactions and adherence to accounting principles.
  4. Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support decision-making and strategic planning. Provide insights into financial performance, trends, and areas for improvement.
  5. Compliance and Regulations: Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, standards, and policies. Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and regulations affecting the healthcare industry.
  6. Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Must-Haves:

  • Strong Payroll Experience: Demonstrated experience in managing payroll processes, including payroll tax compliance, deductions, and reporting.
  • Strong Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial software and systems, with the ability to leverage technology to streamline processes and improve accuracy.
  • Advanced MS Excel Skills: Expertise in Excel, including advanced functions such as pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and macros. Ability to manipulate large datasets and perform complex financial analysis.
  • CPA Preferred: CPA (Certified Public Accountant) certification is preferred, demonstrating a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. Advanced degree or CPA certification is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial management, preferably in the healthcare industry.
  • Proven track record of leadership and success in managing finance and accounting functions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
