Responsibilities: We are looking for a night shift Charge Nurse (RN) to join our Labor and Delivery team! When you join this supportive team, you will coordinate patient flow within the care area, and facilitate admissions, discharges and transfers to maximize unit capacity. You will be essential for the comprehensive care of new moms and babies as you coordinate patient flow, staff assignments and oversight of patient safety, quality and regulatory activities.
Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
2 years of experience as a Staff RN in the area of assignment or demonstrated competency by achieving a minimum of 35 points on the RN Competency Model Evaluation form required
6 months experience as a Relief Charge RN or in a team leadership role required
RN - Current State of California Registered Nurse license required
BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by the American Heart Association (AHA) required
Certifications as required for the unit
Additional Certification Requirements:
Please note: Per the CDPH order, all healthcare workers are required to be vaccinated for COVID-19 or have an approved exemption and test regularly.

- Basic Arrhythmia must be obtained within 6 months of hire or transfer
- Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) Course must be obtained within 6 months of date of hire or transfer
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire or transfer
- Certified Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM) by the National Certification Corporation (NCC) must be obtained within 1 year of hire or transfer
