Assisted Living Nurse LPN or RN

We are seeking a nurse (RN or LPN) who wants to provide quality care part time on 2nd shift. This candidate will be working every other Sunday as well as every other holiday and working 24 hours per pay period. Starting pay for RN is $27.00/hour and starting pay for LPN is $24.50/hour - both are eligible for an additional $0.25/hour per year of experience (with a cap of 15 years.) 2nd shift differential is an additional $4.00/hour, weekend differential is an additional $2.50/hour and we offer double-time pay on holidays worked.

The nurse at Christian Care Retirement Community provides vital medical care to elderly residents in the Assisted Living unit. Whether an RN or LPN, this nurse is responsible for ensuring the wellbeing of each resident under their watch. They begin each shift by making rounds to every room and assessing the current health status of the occupants. This involves checking vital signs, wound dressings, and overall appearance for any changes or concerns that require attention. The nurse reviews detailed medical charts for each resident so they are aware of ongoing conditions, medications, and physician orders. With this knowledge in hand, the nurse administers medication on schedule, including oral, intravenous, and topical treatments. They also perform other nursing interventions like changing catheters, assisting with activities of daily living, providing emotional support, and coordinating with therapists and physicians. This nurse must have strong clinical skills, compassion, and patience when working with the geriatric population. Their expertise and care are essential for maintaining health, enhancing quality of life, and allowing residents to age with dignity. Through diligent assessment, medication management, and hands-on care, the nurse fulfills a vital role at Christian Care.
