IMS Supply is seeking a Business Development Representative who will be responsible for generating new business and professional services revenue from new and named accounts within an assigned territory.
IMS is an asset recovery services provider that works with large and small manufacturers to sell surplus tools parts and supplies. This position shall proactively seek out and connect with manufacturers and other appropriate clients in order to secure successful asset recovery partnerships. This activity shall include:
o Maintaining a constant awareness of all aspects of the IMS Asset Recovery Program Process.
o Developing and using market research techniques to identify potential asset recovery clients.
o Connecting with potential clients and establishing meaningful communication lines.
o Identifying ways that the company can assist potential clients with their operations.
o Promoting the IMS asset recovery services to potential clients.
o Visiting with potential clients at their locations (Travel).
o Securing new Asset Recovery Partnership Agreements.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Travel throughout assigned territory to call on existing and prospective customers to identify, progress and close opportunities.
Works closely with all staff to oversee the sales function and to position products and services to achieve maximum sales potential.
Responds to requests, inquires and complaints and ensures maximum good will from all transactions.
Analyzes market statistics to develop sales campaigns and create sales quotas.
Responsible for negotiating and implementing agreements
Prepares reports for management and customers.
Establishes sales objectives by creating a sales plan and quota for districts in support of national objectives.
Recommends product lines by identifying new product opportunities, and/or product, packaging, and service changes; surveying consumer needs and trends; tracking competitors.

Business To Business Sales Experience
Manufacturing Industry Experience Is Preferable But Not Required
This is a commission earning position, candidates will start with commission earning accounts in addition to a base salary.
