FT working at several locations
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- General knowledge of health status of all participants.
- General knowledge of all medication for all individuals.
- Review all medication administration records and treatment sheets.
- Maintain/monitor daily log of ongoing individual specific needs, ie. flow records.
- Supervise medication/treatment/first aid administration as needed.
- Maintain functioning interpersonal relationship with all disciplines.
- Supervise all nursing staff in providing services.
- Instruct/consult regarding health care/teaching with regard to participant care.
- Participate in Team Conferences including Quarterly and Annual Reviews
- Review/disperse all reports progress notes, and evaluations generated by nursing.
- Consult with physicians regarding participant medical care.
- Coordinate/monitor information flow with all programs.
- Monitor medical supplies/medication.
- Monitor/supervise accuracy and completeness of Kardex, Formulary, medication tracking records, etc.
- Monitor function of all mechanical medical equipment, ie, suction, oxygen, first aid.
- Knowledge of all antidotal material and expiration dates of same.
- Maintain schedule of all ongoing lab work, immunizations, etc.
- Participate in Incident review and Infection Control Committee meeting.
- Train AMAP personnel, including AMAP course and yearly recertification.
- Monitor safety within facility.
- Monitor weight/diet of all individuals
- 24-hour on call for medical emergencies
- Rotating weekend on-call administrator.
- Emergency nursing coverage.
- Knowledge of regulations. Assist in the implementation of applicable regulations.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Supervises employees in residential nursing. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
