Metro Services is looking to immediately hire Mechanical Operators for a Manufacturing facility in Pell City, AL. This is a local temp/contract position. Apply Now!
Duties for this position include:
- Follows all safety rules regarding machine operation and proper guarding
- Follow work instructions and directions to produce required quantity of parts within required tolerances
- Gauge first parts and in process parts, record inspection results
- Follow processes and procedures associated with the mechanical area
- Monitor machine operations and recognize defective parts
- Monitor production flow
- Write production reports if needed
- Work on different types of equipment to carry out a particular phase of the production cycle
- Record production and maintain simple reports on work orders handled, quality and quantities produced
- Track and record defects and scrap
- Take care of routine machine maintenance and keeping work area in neat condition
Compensation (USD):
1st Shift
$16.50
2nd & 3rds Shift
$17.25
Schedule:
1st Shift
Monday - Friday
OT on Saturday and Sunday when needed
6:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
2nd Shift
Monday - Friday
OT on Saturday and Sunday when needed
2:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.
3rd Shift
Sunday - Thursday
OT on Friday and Saturday when needed
10:00 p.m. - 6:00 a.m.
Successful candidates must meet the following requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Clean Drug Screen/Background
- PPE (steel toe boots/shoes, safety glasses, and some positions require hearing protection)
