SUMMARY:

Responsible for maintaining the Overall Cleanliness and organization of the Travel Center.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: This list of tasks is illustrative ONLY and is not a comprehensive listing of all functions and tasks performed by positions in this class.   • Responsible for all general maintenance and repair of minor problems throughout the Travel Center (TC) as directed by the Travel Center Supervisor on duty.
  • Responsible for cleanliness of shower facilities
  • Unloading of inventory, product and supplies for TC
  • Assists with Stocking and cleaning of shelves
  • Power Washing of external areas
  • Emptying of internal & external Trash
  • Maintenance of fuel pumps and surrounding areas
  • Respond and clean fuel spills
  • Dispensing propane
  • Ensure adherence to all OSHA regulations and internal safety policies and procedures.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance on all equipment as assigned.
  • Supports other Maintenance Engineers as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular attendance record.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High School diploma or GED required. Basic Maintenance experience preference.

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Strong interpersonal and communication skills required. Experienced in use of hand and power tools.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instruction, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add, subtracts, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
