Seasonal Warehouse Associate

Job Summary:

Employee assists coworkers with inventory control during the inbound and outbound process of freight in the distribution center.

Responsibilities:

• Communicate with warehouse personnel, the Purchasing department, and the Accounts Payable department.
• Process and check inbound freight.
• Performs basic warehouse functions like picking order, receiving and put-aways.
• Safely operate forklifts, reach trucks and pallet jacks.
• Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Other duties as assigned.

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• High School diploma required
• 2-4 years of experience.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.), Inventory software and Spreadsheet software.
• Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to identify and count products.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Experience on an order picker and electric pallet jack preferred.
• Frequent need to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Manual dexterity sufficient for keyboarding required.
• Must be available to work overtime and occasional weekends.
• The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
