Position: Survey Field Technician

Location: Nashville, TN

Duration: Fulltime Permanet

Salary: DOE

This position is responsible for providing field support for various types of land surveying projects. The Survey Field Technician will work under close supervision of the crew chief or survey managers on assignments.

Responsibilities

  • Work primarily in the field and provide accurate land surveys including control, boundary, topographic, DOT, construction layout and more
  • Operate and perform maintenance on survey equipment
  • Take detailed field notes
  • Collect survey data per industry and client specifications, scopes of work, and field manager direction
  • Coordination with survey field manager, project managers and other office staff as needed
  • Willing and able to continually learn new techniques, processes, and equipment operation
    • Additional related duties as needed

    Qualifications
    • Valid drivers license
    • Attention to detail, strong written and verbal communication, and critical thinking skills
    • 2 - 5+ years of experience in surveying as a field technician, rodman, or instrument person

  • Preferred Qualifications
    • Associate degree or higher in a survey program or equivalent
    • Scanning and drone flight experience
    • FAA Part 107 license
