Here at Nightforce we have a big vision and that calls for a big job. We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our amazing finance team. We are searching for a person who is a critical thinker, problem solver, and doesn't shy away from Excel and gets a little giddy at the prospect of processing invoices. This person will have a basic understanding of accounts receivable. In this role, you will assist in reconciling the accounts receivable ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted along with communicating on past-due accounts. This position will be vital to the ongoing fiscal, budgetary, and operational success of Nightforce.

What you will be doing: Essential Job Duties

  • Support Lightforce USA, Inc. including Nightforce Optics, Lightforce Performance Lighting, Horus Vision, and Prairie Machine Werks in optimizing our financial transactions and systems by performing reconciliation of payments and customer accounts.
  • Organize accounts and incoming payments, ensuring their compliance with the company's financial policies and detecting inconsistencies.
  • Communicate any discrepancies to the Finance Manager, identify any slow-paying customers or past due accounts.
  • Build trusting relationships with customers by communicating on a regular basis regarding account status and past-due accounts.
  • Provide any recommendations on improving A/R processes.
  • Gather, scan, and verify invoices for appropriate documentation prior to payment.
  • Ensure efficient, timely, and accurate application of payments on accounts.
  • Process dealer credit applications and establish new customers in the ERP system (oracle).
  • Create and submit invoices to customers. Identify and escalate any invoice errors to the Finance Manager. Manually process any invoice adjustments.
  • Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
  • Handle all aspects of government contract billing.

What we need from you: Required Minimum Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of experience with high-volume invoicing, accounts receivable, or similar role
  • Must possess strong organizational skills and have meticulous attention to detail.
  • Must have the ability to multitask.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently.
  • Ability to build strong relationships, account management, and customer service skills.
  • Data entry skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
