Catholic Charities is seeking Fee for Service Licensed Clinicians


POSITION SUMMARY

This is a clinical practice position with limited supervisory responsibility for interns only and is reserved for the person who has demonstrated two years of competent clinical practice following graduate school in accordance with licensing, certification and accreditation standards. Regular supervision with a casework supervisor of a BHW III or Management I or higher is required. Workers of this classification are expected to be capable of managing a full range and volume of agency cases and to demonstrate knowledge of agency policies and procedures, clinical best practice principles and methods, and knowledge of community resources. The individual is expected to embrace the co-occurring treatment philosophy which integrates a strength based, child/family centered, trauma informed, culturally competent, and recovery oriented philosophy. The staff will carry a broad range of cases through which an increasing knowledge of clinical best practice principles and methods, and knowledge of community resources is demonstrated.


GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide quality clinical services for a full range and volume of agency cases under regular supervision. Successfully engage clients in services as demonstrated by client treatment completion rates, increased client functioning and client completion of treatment plan objectives. Formulate psychosocial evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment plans with supervisory support. Demonstrate an increasing comprehension of the dynamics of human behavior, family systems, substance abuse, co-occurring disorders and appropriate intervention techniques. Provide treatment services appropriate to the personal and cultural identity and language of the client. Consistently evaluates and treats co- occurring disorders with using a standardized co-occurring assessment tool focusing on both substance abuse and mental health disorders Provides specific documentation of history and chronology of both mental health and substance abuse disorders; Treatment plans routinely address mental health and substance abuse disorders equivalently and in specific detail Treatment interventions in addition to medications are used to address mental health disorders. Provide integrated evidence based practice to clients as evidenced by supervisor observation, case presentations and audio or video taped sessions with clients. Determine the client’s readiness for treatment and change as well as the needs of others involved in the current situation. Formulate mutually agreed-on and measurable treatment goals and objectives. Carry out appropriate treatment plans, according to agency best practice standards, and evaluate the progress throughout treatment and at termination. Provide assessment and treatment through individual, family and group treatment modalities while tailoring the helping strategies and treatment modalities to the client’s stage of change or recovery. Integrate evidence based practice into client service delivery. Perform 100% of assigned productivity expectation Consistently evaluate and treat co-occurring disorders and link to appropriate supports. Adhere to professional ethical and behavioral standards of conduct to maintain professional standards and safeguard the client. Locate and coordinate the provision of appropriate supportive services and community resources as appropriate. Provide advocacy services on behalf of client when appropriate. Demonstrate respect and nonjudgmental attitudes toward clients in all contacts with clients, community professionals and agencies. Record case activity within required timeframes according to agency procedures and requirements. Attend staff meetings and appropriate training sessions. May participate in agency studies and research projects. May supervise interns. Monitors performance of the interns supervised. Monitoring includes assignment, coverage and flow of service cases within one’s program(s). Responsible for supervisees’ implementation of program policies and procedures including reports and documentation. Interprets agency services to clients and community. Understand and follow agency policies and procedures. Participate in ongoing supervision, consultation, staff meetings, and appropriate training. Maintain clinical license.

QUALIFICATIONS

State of Connecticut Professional License related to behavioral health (LCSW, LPC, LMFT or Licensed Psychologist), master’s degree in the human services field and two years post graduate work. Candidate must meet certification and licensure standards established by the State of Connecticut and the Council on Accreditation.
