Process Engineer

Empire Coating is looking to hire a skilled Process Engineer to oversee the design and implementation of our company processes. As a process engineer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing process strategies, managing process resources, optimizing current processes, and maintaining process documents. Ultimately, your job is to maintain the efficiency of production in order to reduce costs.

To ensure success as a process engineer you should have extensive experience in process design, excellent technical skills, and high-level analytical skills. A top-class process engineer can analyze a process system and implement simple yet effective changes to boost production.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Create die cuts using CAD system/software
• Design, run, test and upgrade systems and processes
• Oversee and assess existing processes and workflows
• Optimize productivity by designing, implementing and testing new procedures
• Track metrics to discover areas for improvement and monitor upgrades
• Assemble reports to document process status and changes
• Communicate findings and proposals to upper management
• Utilize process simulation software to test and find the most appropriate production strategies
• Provide thorough instructions for successful implementation of process changes
• Conduct risk assessments
• Ensure processes comply with safety and quality standards.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mechanical or Industrial or Applied Science required
• Technical aptitude and ability to grasp multiple technologies
• Working knowledge of CAD and AutoCAD or some other relevant software program required
• Experience in Lean Manufacturing concepts and Six Sigma program preferred
• 3 to 5 years hands on engineering experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
